Break the Winter Blues
Do you deal with the Winter Blues?
Did you know that most people with the Winter Blues (or Seasonal Affective Disorder–SAD) usually have high melatonin levels? Melatonin is a natural hormone in your body. Studies have found that bright sunlight depletes melatonin levels and can help alleviate those Winter Blues.
Takeaways for Winter Blues:
- -Avoid melatonin.
- -Get sunlight early.
- -Use UV lamps early in the day. Just set it next to you during your normal morning routine.
(My personal help, although you may hate the idea, is to lay undressed in a tanning bed for a few minutes once a week)
